Developer Diary #1 - General Update

Welcome to the first entry of The Working Tools Developer Diary! 

I'm thrilled to start this journey of diary updates with the Working Tools community, keeping you updated on what’s happening behind the scenes as we continue to improve and expand the platform for Masonic Lodges worldwide.

Over the last few months, a lot of work has been happening in the background, especially to support specific Orders and Grand Lodges. We know that some updates might seem invisible on the surface, but rest assured, we're committed to refining and enhancing The Working Tools to better serve your lodges. These efforts may be less visible day-to-day, but they're crucial in maintaining the reliability and adaptability our users value. 

You might have also noticed a few front-end changes to our website and marketing efforts as we begin to get The Working Tools the recognition it deserves! We’re also excited to announce a big addition to our team: Jack, an exceptionally talented software developer, will be joining the project in just a few weeks! With experience in supporting multi-million pound start-ups, Jack brings a wealth of expertise and fresh ideas. We’re confident he’ll play a vital role in developing new features and supporting our users as we move forward.

In addition, The Working Tools is entering a new chapter by transitioning from ownership by Hedison Group Ltd to its own entity, The Working Tools Ltd. This move reflects the growth and independence of the platform and signals a bright future ahead. While this doesn’t change anything operationally for our users or change the company's ownership, it’s a milestone we’re proud to share.

Next week, Jack and I will meet to set the final vision for Version 5 - a massive new update designed to bring impactful changes. The current system, launched in 2019, has served us well, but technology has moved forward, and so must we! Version 5 will address some core inefficiencies and design limitations,  as well as introduce much-requested features, bringing The Working Tools to a new level. We’re targeting early 2025 for initial testing, so stay tuned!
